Squat: 55lbs
Bench: 45lbs
Row:70lbs
It is coming along nicely.

Week 7 Day 1

So, this was the first day of de-loading my weight. 

Squats: 45lbs this was super light for me but I concentrated on my form

Press: 30lbs again easy but worked on form

Deadlift: 135lbs I was so excited to get on my big girl weights! 5×5 was hard but I kicked butt!

It is amazing to see how much stronger I am compared to 7 weeks ago. 

Whoot… confidence is coming back!

Week 6 Workout Stats

This week was super disappointing for me. That is why I am just now posting my stats.
For squats I could not get pass 75lbs. Even with tring 85lbs and working on negatives. By Friday, I was beat and was only able to do 3 sqauts @ 75lbs.
Bench and Row felt the same way but I was stuck on 65lbs.
Over head press was stuck at 45lbs.
Deadlift was the only highlight and I did 5×5 at 125lbs. But it was so hard and my form suffered.
I decided that this week is going to be a de-load week. I might go down as far as just the bar and work my way up. I was told by my gym budies that sometimes you just need to rebuild. This will also build up my confidence again.

Stats…

Squat: 70lbs …NO assistance… Whoot!
OH Press: 45lbs NO assistance…YAY!
Deadlift: 115lbs

Week 5 Day 2

Stats:
Squat: supposed to do 70lbs… failed to complete 5×5… so I did 75lbs working on the slow negative with lots of help up.
Bench: 65lbs… failed to complete 5×5… so I did 70lbs working on negs with help.
Row: 55lbs… I deloaded to work on better form

Weight lifting is like a roller coaster… there are up’s and down’s but you have to enjoy the ride!

Week 5 Day 1

Today’s Stats:
Squat: 65lbs I am so excited because I did all 5 sets with no assistance!
Over head press: 45lbs with some assistance
Deadlift: 95lbs

In one month I am already feeling stronger. Today I was complemented on my traps… not too shabby!

Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world!

I just finished week 4 of strength training. Looking back just 4 weeks ago I have already inproved. I started squatting just the bar (45lbs) and needed help. Today for a warm up I used the bar with no problems. Pure amazing and I am so pumped for the next month. Again, Mr. Awesome Boyfriend is great at research. He found squat shoes to help with form. My shoes are called inov and come in an awesome blue/purple color. They have a 3/4in stiff heal for proper squat form. They were about $140 from an online store. There are better known brands but for the price and being a newbie these are a great 1st shoe.

End of Week 4

Whoot! I am feeling so pumped!

Today’s STATS:

Squat: 65 lbs… I still couldn’t do 5×5 so, I focused on going down slow and controlled and had a spotter help me up.

Bench: 60lbs… I got some wrist straps/gloves to help with my wrist position. It started to get a little heavy and my wrist was bending back causing it to hurt… which is not good. I got Harbinger gloves at Sport Chalet for about $40. The brand is designed for a man but I got a small. I would say the fingers and wrist strap are a little long but it get’s the job done.

Row: 60lbs

My motivation is sky high right now especially because the Olympics are on!

WEEK 4 DAY 2

Today’s STATS:

Squat: 60lbs… this was hard but I did it!

Deadlift: 85lbs

Press: 45lbs… I still needed help but I see improvement.

I felt great today… I had enough food and tried a pre-workout drink called C4. It gave me enough energy throughout the workout. It did not make me feel jittery at all. We are also starting to make a few friends which is a  huge motivation factor. Stay tuned…
