We Made Affiliate on Twitch!!!

We have been streaming Star Citizen on Twitch for about 8 days (since our primer) and it has been a crazy roller coaster of goodness. We like to consider ourselves Professional Noobs but we try to bring quality content. It took days of setting up our streaming command center, creating a pro looking page on Twitch, and embedding ourselves in the Star Citizen community. If you are new to the verse, you can use my referral code for some extra in-game perks like 5,000 UEC (the in-game currency) with the purchase of a game pack.

But today we would like to give some love to those in the community who have helped make our stream a success. GalathirGames, IAmRilez, and Moist_Noodle have all given us some incredible shout outs during their stream and with the support from the absolutely wonderful Star Citizen Community, we made Affiliate today! We are extremely honored and grateful to be part of such an awesome community.

Star Citizen Fleet Week New Player Tips!

This week in Star Citizen new players can play the game for free after creating an account on the RSI website. You can use my referral code for some extra in-game perks like 5,000 UEC (the in-game currency) with the purchase of a game pack. Even if you don’t purchase the game now, the referral code link will take you to the account creation page.

Over the past few days, I have noticed on other Twitch streams some common questions. As a brand new citizen, I highly suggest checking out Captain Berks YouTube video. He does a great job explaining the beginning basics once you enter the verse.

My next tip, when you first enter the verse, select Area 18  as your ‘visit location’. Area 18 is where the convention center is located which has the latest ships available for the excellent price… Free!

Take a moment to check out all the detail the convention has to offer. There are many statues and plaques that either tell you the history of Invictus Week or about the showpiece.

To rent a ship, walk up to the ship and use the “F” key to interact with the item. You will see a floating word that says “rent”. Click on rent and complete your free purchase. Then make your way back to the Spaceport and go to the terminal to pull out the ship… and have FUN!

Once you are done having an adventure… make sure to head back to Area 18 and request landing before you log off. This way, when you log back in, you will be at Area 18. This is important because the rentals are only 24hrs. You don’t want to be out in space stuck with no ship.

Twitch Premier with Girl-In-Pigtails and TheQue

Guys, I am SO excited… we have been working extremely hard making the production value the highest quality possible. The best part, about our stream, is that we have created a picture in picture scene which enables the community to see both our cameras and game play in one channel.

It is also the day…Fleet Week starts! In the verse, we will be exploring the ‘convention center’ and getting the latest merch hotness from the venders. Rumor has it…there will also be fly overs. I can’t wait to see the event!

Check us out tonight at 8:30pm EST for our pre-show where we introduce ourselves and our 6-month-old. Game play will start between 9pm and 10pm as we need to tuck in the boy.

Star Citizen Fleet Week

It’s happening… Fleet Week starts Friday May 22. Try Star Citizen for free but first, you will need to create an account. Star Citizen isn’t just a space game but has a ton of lore. Invictus Launch Week, also commonly known as Fleet Week, is the period between Emancipation Day and Armistice Day that marks the beginning of the new recruitment year for the UEE Navy. I highly recommend checking out TheAstroPub who does an amazing job of breaking down all the lore. He is a teacher in real life and brings that skill and passion into his videos.

In addition to high-flying public demonstrations from the naval fleet, the galaxy’s top vehicle manufacturers often utilize the festivities to showcase the ships and armament they supply to the military. This year, official proceedings will be held at Area18, ArcCorp, with spacecraft showcases at the Bevic Convention Center and a special demonstration by the 999th Squadron.

During Invictus Launch Week, everyone has the opportunity to see some of the verse’s biggest, best, and most iconic ships up close. Different manufacturers take over every other day, so keep checking back to be inspired by everything the event has to offer.

Most ships on display are available to test-fly for free, so just select the ship you want, and take to the skies.

GIP Does Orlando

Girl in Pigtails here and i am very excited to say that my hubby and i are going to Orlando for a much deserved vaca.

We are making a pit stop in GA for MIL’s (Mother in Law) birthday bash.

The Plan:

Fly MD to Orlando… used points for flights. Pretty awesome 😎

Get rental car and drive to MIL’s in GA. Spend the weekend with them for celebration. Any excuse to have cake… and hopefully some sort of peach tastyness… we are in the land of the GA peach. i would definitely have a dessert bar called peaches and cream.

Sunday, we travel back to Orlando and start our magical vaca. Not too sure when we will be arriving, so this is our down day. Instead of going to a park like Disney or Universal, we are going to peruse Disney Springs. Looks like a great area, still has some Disney magic with some themed restaurants and shopping. There also seems to be a fair amount of yummy restaurants.

Day 1:

Can’t wait to see Pandora! Going to try and get there at rope drop but we do have a breakfast reservations at Boma. Kona Cafe is my absolute favorite especially with Kona coffee and Tonga Toast! However (comma), Boma has some amazing food items…. (food pic).

Day 2:

It’s someone’s birthday… the hubby. He doesn’t make a big deal about his big day, which is why i will make it my mission to ensure he has all the Disney birthday perks. First, getting the big birthday button!

Day 3:

EPCOT

This is probably my favorite park. You will meet some Disney characters that can only be found in ECOT like Bell in her blue dress and Mary Poppins. Ask Mary Poppins where her carpet bag is…

Thank you Acules for being a reliable bad ass! We took a trip to Shenandoah for the skyline drive. Traffic was horrible! Who knew the first weekend in November would be the busiest…

But with Waze we were able to avoid most of it. The leaves where a pretty gold color and the weather was perfect, if you like 30 and below. That’s what butt heaters are for. 😁

We then headed to Spruce Knob to star gaze. Again, perfect conditions:no people, no clouds, crisp and cold, and no moon. The stars were amazingly beautiful! However, the road was ridiculous with the pot holes. Luckily, Mr. Awesome Hubby was able to avoid most. And the ones we did hit (hard) had almost no damage. Again, thank you car!
