Good Morning/Afternoon Everyone,
As you may have noticed, Que and I are always finding ways to improve. We have only been streaming for about five months; our stream and set up has changed dramatically since day one.
We are proud to introduce our newest feature on the stream that allows for even more chat interactions.
ChatMate which is a developmental program made by AgentTekk and team is a Twitch Bot with external integration. We have worked and supported AgentTekk since we started streaming in support of this project. We have finally DONE IT!
We asked AgentTekk if ChatMate could allow chat the ability to pull up replays and swap our OBS scenes using SoundAlerts (or a new ChatMate Extension). Now for those of you who don’t know, SoundAlerts is a plugin through Twitch that allows chat to play sound alerts, or bites, on stream using Twitch bits. Some streamers use this as a way to encourage chat to get involved during a stream. What we have asked ChatMate to do is recognize the SoundAlert integration and trigger a custom event like a replay or swap scenes. It took A LOT of hard work figuring out the programming for this and many thanks goes out to TheQue (my hubby- for the idea and computer savvyness) and AgentTekk (for his programming knowledge and skill). Love you guys!
With that said, below are the six new sound alert options you will see tonight:
- GiP Mini Replay (100 bits)This will spawn a mini replay in the upper corner of the last 30 seconds of my gameplay.
- GiP Big Replay (200 bits)
This will spawn a large replay in the center of the screen in ultrawide of the last 30 seconds of my gameplay.
- Que Mini Replay (100 bits)
This will spawn a mini replay in the upper corner of the last 30 seconds of TheQue’s gameplay.
- Que Big Replay (200 bits)
This will spawn a large replay in the center of the screen in ultrawide of the last 30 seconds of TheQue’s gameplay.
- GiP Main (100 bits)
This will trigger OBS to change the scene to my game being the main screen and TheQue being the secondary with the smaller game box. I will not manually change the scene for at least 1 minute after being used.
- GiP Solo (200 bits)
This will trigger OBS to change the scene to remove TheQue all together so that my game and camera is the only one seen on the stream… In case you get tired of looking at TheQue haha. I will not manually change the scene for at least 2 minutes after being used.
At the end of the day, this should allow for a fun interaction between chat and the streamer which builds that community and bond. As far as I know, there is NO other stream doing this type of interaction but our hope is that it grows into a unique tool that can be shared by the community. The first step was to use our stream to get the darn thing to work; which will be showcased tonight! Then, AgentTekk and team will finalize the development of the ChatMate Extension and submit the application to Twitch to make it an official extension everyone can use. These things always take time, patience and persistence but we think it will be worth it and be a great tool for others to use. Que and I are not owners of this app but highly support it and want to see it succeed.
Another change we are implementing is color correcting our cameras to give you guys the best stream possible. We noticed that sometimes, our respected cameras look more “pale” or “tan” comparatively. With having a two for one stream, that just made for an unpolished look. We purchased a color passport in order to color correct both our cameras and give true color. It’s not a huge change but again we hope this shows our progress of improvement and dedication to making this the best stream possible. Our goal, at the end of the day, is that we stream for YOU and we believe YOU deserve the best quality content. Hope you enjoy and we will see you tonight!
Thanks for all the love and support!
